She’s not a model. She just looks like one.
Nice of actress Fairuza Balk to play a model for our camera. It’s even nicer that she’s not your usual cookie-cutter Hollywood babe; Fairuza is tattooed, pierced, and isn’t your average gym bunny. She’s played a sweet little sister in Gas Food Lodging, the daughter of Dr. Moreau in The Island of Dr. Moreau, and a not-very-nice witch in The Craft. Next up: Touchstone Pictures’ The Waterboy (out this month) and New Line’s American History X (out in November). So are actors because they can act, or because they’ve got good genes? Or is it a chicken/egg theory: Would Leonardo be so beautiful if he were just the pizza guy? Enough pondering: If you like Fairuza’s look, try a Benetton sweater like this one, then put on some Shiseido Matte Variations Lipstick in Beige Mahogany. Ba-da-bing, ba-da-boom.
